Two cars and a number of items believed to have been stolen were recovered during searches

Two men have been arrested and charged in relation to the theft, criminal damage and unauthorised taking of vehicles in Dublin this week.

Members attached to Coolock and Santry Garda Stations subsequently conducted searches of residential premises in Ballymun and Coolock yesterday, Tuesday, August 29, and arrested two men aged in their 30s and 20s. Detective Garda Mark Ferris, DMR West rep for the Garda Representative Association, said stolen vehicles are now a "daily feature of the area."
