The father of Mahsa Amini has been released, after briefly being held by Iranian authorities, ahead of the anniversary of his daughter's death. Meanwhile, security forces have deployed troops and armoured vehicles to surround the grave of Mahsa Amini. Her death in police custody set off the biggest anti-regime protests in more than four decades. Since then, 22 thousand people have been arrested and 500 others have been killed.
