A bus driver had to be taken to hospital after crashing into two parked cars on a residential street in Summerston while four passengers were on board on Monday night.

A First Bus driver has been charged after crashing into two parked cars on a residential street in Summerston.

The street was cordoned off by police while the vehicles - including one car left on its side - were made safe. Locals reported that four passengers were on board at the time of the incident. Only the driver required medical treatment and was taken to hospital. “Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene and on arrival firefighters found that it was a road traffic collision involving two private parked cars and a commercial bus. A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 21:04 on 18 September 2023 to attend a 3 vehicle RTC on Arrochar Street, Glasgow. One ambulance and two Special Operations Response Teams were dispatched to scene. One patient was transported to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
