Shortly before 6 p.m., Kings District RCMP and emergency personnel were called to the crash on Main Street.Police said a 52-year-old man, who was a driver in one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was treated for non-life threatening injuries and taken to hospital by Island EMS.
