LA HABRA — A stolen truck suspect who led officers on a chase through three counties, slammed into police cars, briefly drove the wrong way on the Riverside Freeway and ran across the freeway was in custody Tuesday.

The suspect jumped the truck over an embankment onto westbound lanes of the 91 Freeway, against oncoming traffic, with the chainlink fence dragging behind the vehicle and smoke billowing from the tires, KCAL reported. The suspect abandoned the truck on the freeway, then ran across both the westbound and eastbound portions of the freeway into the parking lot of a Denny’s restaurant, losing a wig, and then into the restaurant.Gov.
