Cuyahoga County prosecutors said Tuesday that a grand jury indicted eight members of the gang on 224 charges, including racketeering, aggravated murder, aggravated theft and aggravated robbery. The indictment in the case says the spree lasted about 14 months and hit cities from Avon to Willoughby.
But the 97-page indictment says the gang’s members went beyond stealing cars. They often fired shots at people and vehicles, according to the charges. On July 2, Hicks and two others shot at three teenagers near St. Clair and Holmes avenues in Cleveland. One victim, 17, was killed, while two others were taken to a nearby hospital for injuries.
