Dumfries community champion Dougie Smith has had another busy year fundraising for local charities close to his heart.
“I was also able to donate a cheque to help with funds and also donate an Airbnb voucher for the raffle along with two specially-designed tables by Signcraft of Heathhall.”He said: “I like to help as a thanks to all the support they gave me when I was going through a very bad patch. A cheque donation plus an Airbnb voucher was donated for the Annual Summer Ball held in Dumfries.
He said: “The Ferrari was used as his final cycle-in support car and was a big hit with the children at both schools and at the final run into the finish line at the Steamboat, Carsthorn, where we donated a special prize to the raffle organised by Karen Love.” “We also donated to Lanarkshire Car Club who raise money for the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland as this helps a lot of people from our region get the required help.
