If you're curious about electric vehicles, San Diego's annual EV Day is set for Saturday. There's no admission fee and for the first time, the event will be held in a large venue — Snapdragon Stadium in Mission Valley. EVs from Hyundai, Tesla, Polestar, Rivian, Kia and other car markers will be on display and booths will be set up to answer questions about at-home and public charging venues, as well as information on EV rebates, incentives and pricing plans.
Participants can also take the MTS trolley to the stadium stop. An ADA shuttle will be available to take attendees from the stadium parking lot and trolley to the various exhibits that will cover about 20 acres. The event comes as the adoption of plug-in vehicles accelerates. Through the first six months of this year, the California New Car Dealers Association reported that 21.1 percent of new vehicle registrations were all-electric and plug-in hybrids accounted for 3.
