The crash, on Thursday at about 18:50 BST, involved a Suzuki Grand Vitara, travelling towards Pewsey on the A345 Salisbury Road, and a BMW X3 travelling in the opposite direction.The driver of the BMW was not injured. The road remains closed for investigation and recovery work.
A police spokesperson said the man's next of kin had been informed and his family is being supported by officers. Wiltshire Police have asked anyone who witnessed the crash, or drivers with dash cam footage, to get in touch.
