A massive haul of cocaine was recovered from two cars in the Haghill area on Thursday with police estimating the recovery could be worth £1.8 million in street value.

Officers from the Organised Crime Unit intercepted the vehicles on Dunragit Street in Haghill on Thursday where the haul was recovered.

Around 42 kilos of what is believed to be cocaine was found with a potential street value of £1.8 million. Two men aged 34 and 56 have been arrested and charged in connection with the seizure. Both were due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today .
