Recall that the President of the Natural Oil and Gas Suppliers Association of Nigeria , Mr Benneth Korie had raised the alarm over the continued rise in the price of Diesel and its effect on the Nigerian economy if the government fails to intervene. Diesel was deregulated in 2009 with an initial price of N100 per litre; however, the price continued to increase. Nigerians have witnessed a rising percentage price from N100 per litre in 2009 to an average of N890.80 per litre in September 2023.
