A truck hit four parked cars and a pedestrian before crashing into a furniture store in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood on Friday afternoon, officials confirmed. San Francisco Police officers responded to a report of a vehicle colliding into a building at Roche Bobois furniture store on 8th and Townsend streets at 4:52 p.m. on Friday, an SFPD spokesperson told SFGATE. After arriving, officers found the vehicle stopped inside the building with its driver unresponsive inside.
Those who were at the scene called 911 immediately after the crash, and first responders were quick to arrive, Kim said. She added that the driver was not breathing when responders pulled him out of the truck. First responders administered medical aid to the driver before transporting him to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries and detaining him for further investigation, according to SFPD.
