Carol Moses of Geneva decided to enjoy a Sunday morning in Yorkville with her daughter and grandchildren, all because she is a fan of classic cars. “I’m dating a guy who has a ‘67 Pontiac LeMans,” Moses said as she pushed a stroller up a gravel path at the Kendall County Fairgrounds. “We’re going to have the kids enjoy some of the activities. It’s a beautiful day, and I enjoy being at car shows and being outside like we are today.
“Their dad is working and mom is out of town, so we thought we’d come see our friend at the car show as well as all the goodies and the bounce house,” Menz said. “Everything here is very nice. Everybody should come.” Sunday’s car show at the event drew hundreds of fans who wandered throughout the grass field of the fairgrounds where vehicles were parked. Jim Marter of Oswego was drawn to a shiny green truck that was located at the entrance to the field.
