A Tesla Model S Plaid can hit 60 mph in 2 seconds, which is about the same time some fairly swift ICE-powered cars take to reach half that speed. And because the tri-motor drivetrain makes so little noise and has no gears to thump through, it really is deceptively rapid.
You can see that the Tesla hasn’t traveled far before reaching the midway point and it’s already going crazily quick. And by the time the Tesla's rear is in shot we can already see that the brake lights are lit, but either the driver isn’t pushing that middle pedal hard enough or he simply runs out of space, because while we don’t get to see the impact, we do get to see the gory aftermath.
