According to Idaho State Police, the crashes occurred between 5 a.m. and 11 a.m. Monday morning along Interstate 84, approximately a couple of hours northwest of the Utah state border. They said 11 of the crashes happened within a one-mile stretch, involving 33 vehicles, and more than 20 vehicles were stranded between crash locations until the roadway was cleared.
Multiple agencies, including the Elmore County Sheriff's Office, Acute Rescue, and Air St. Luke's, responded to the scene to assist. The full extent of injuries in the pileup was unknown.Stay Connected
