Queensland Premier Steven Miles has taken aim at “local eshays” following a violent hooning event in Logan on Saturday sparked by an infamous YouTube personality.

The Premier slammed the footage during a press conference on Sunday and warned would-be hooners that police will “interrupt” the dangerous activities. “Eshay” is a slang expression associated with an Australian urban youth subculture of mostly young men who typically loiter around public places and engage in criminal and anti-social behaviour.
