An allegedly drunk 29-year-old caused a three-vehicle collision in the Victorian town of Officer overnight after visiting friends in a truck he wasn’t licensed to drive.

'Path of destruction': Alleged drunk and unlicensed truck driver crashes into cars owned by friends he's on the way to visit

An allegedly drunk 29-year-old Victorian man caused a"path of destruction" overnight, crashing a 4.5 tonne truck into cars owned by friends he was on his way to visit before hitting a tree. Victoria Police were called on Sunday after a 4.5-tonne truck allegedly collided with two parked cars and uprooted a large tree on Drahl Drive at about 10.30pm.

Police said the driver of the truck provided an evidentiary breath test of 0.157 - three times the legal limit - and was also found to be unlicensed.In an additional twist, it was revealed the two parked cars the alleged drunk driver crashed his truck into belonged to friends he was on his way to visit.

The 29-year-old Officer man will be charged on summons with exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving in a dangerous manner, carless driving, and unlicensed driving.
