JON JOHNSON KINSTON – When George Scott became the new head women’s basketball coach at Enterprise State last spring after serving as the boys basketball coach at Kinston High, he already knew Kaley Norris was someone he wanted to recruit to his college program.

Norris, a 1,000-point career scorer at Kinston, signed with Scott and Enterprise State on Friday in the high school gym she spent so many hours working on her game and leading the Bulldogs in game competition. Choosing Enterprise State was a rather easy choice in being familiar with Scott and the proximity to Kinston.

Andy Norris got emotional speaking about his oldest daughter. As the coach, he knows the dedication she has put in. Norris has definitely been a versatile player for Kinston. She scored her 1,000th career point on Jan. 24, 2004, during a game against Brantley.
