A cyclist has tragically died after being hit by an HGV near Glasgow. Emergency services raced to the scene on Manse Road, near the junction with Drymen Road, in Bearsden at around 8.10am on Tuesday. A 56-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene with the road closed by police for around five hours. The male driver of the heavy goods vehicles was uninjured. Police say enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash and officers are appealing for information.
