The Nation Newspaper Subsidy: Army converts 30 vehicles to CNG, trains 22 personnel

The Nigerian Army on Thursday, March 21, announced the conversion of 30 operational vehicles from petrol-powered engines to environmentally friendly Compressed Natural Gas .

Army spokesperson, Maj.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, who announced this in a statement on Thursday, March 21, stated that the Chief of Army Staff ordered the conversion on Tuesday at the Nigerian Army Fleet auto switch kick-off programme.Nwachukwu said the COAS emphasized the importance of the Nigerian Army’s involvement in the initiative, citing the large fleet of operational vehicles and other requirements.
