When flaring began Friday, Shell said it would last for between four and seven days, which was how long Shell expected it to take to restore power. "We are taking steps to minimize any noise, light, or smoke associated with this flaring activity," the company said on CAER. We have resolved the power outage impacting a unit at our facility and are resuming normal operations. As we move through the start-up process, we expect that the size of the flare will be smaller and flaring activities will conclude at the end of the week.Due to loss of power in one of our units, neighbors will notice flaring at the facility.
