This year, American Paper Optics is manufacturing around 100,000 glasses just for the Indiana Motor Speedway eclipse event.

In fact, a Tennessee-based company is hard at work to ensure Hoosiers at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway's viewing event can watch the eclipse safely.

Lewin says his team has been preparing for the 2024 total solar eclipse ever since the last eclipse in 2017. "Here's the thing about it: I think a lot of people think that you just put a sheet into a machine and then eclipse glasses come out, but it is a really complex process," Lewin said.
