A 32-year-old woman has died and four people remain in hospital after a frightening crash blocked a major highway in New South Wales on Friday afternoon.
The 34-year-old driver of the SUV and a 68-year-old man who was the front passenger in the ute suffered serious injuries and were airlifted to Westmead Hospital. A two-year-old and six-year-old girl were seated in the back seats of the SUV. They were assessed and taken by road to The Children's Hospital at Westmead.
The 54-year-old driver of the ute suffered minor injuries and was taken to Mudgee Hospital where he also underwent mandatory testing.
