A Thai court is holding hearings on a petition seeking to reopen one of the most controversial cases in the country’s modern history, the death of King Ananda Mahidol who was found shot dead in his bedroom in 1946 at the age of 20.

KUALA LUMPUR: The driver of a four-wheel drive was killed and two others were seriously injured in a road crash involving seven vehicles, including an express bus at Kilometre 425.6 of the North-South Expressway near the Sungai Buloh Hospital on Friday night.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the two seriously injured in the crash which occurred at about 11.30 pm were a passenger in the four-wheel drive and the driver of a car. Ahmad Mukhlis said six other individuals were slightly injured in the crash and they were sent to Sungai Buloh Hospital for treatment.

"All 24 passengers and the two drivers of the express bus, however, did not suffer any injuries," he said in a statement today. According to him, a team of 11 firefighters from the Rawang Fire and Rescue Station rushed to the scene following a distress call at 11.37pm and the operation was completed at 1.15am on Saturday . - Bernama
