But police ended the chase quickly due to safety concerns after the Toyota allegedly drove through a red light at the intersection of Burwood Road. Officers were later alerted to the same car travelling on Stacey Street in Bankstown after it allegedly smashed into other cars and a pole."Officers stopped the Toyota on the Belmore Road off-ramp at Riverwood, during which it hit a police caged vehicle, deploying the airbags before rolling back and colliding with the front of a second marked police vehicle," police said today.The Toyota Hilux allegedly smashed into two police cars when it was stopped on Belmore Road.
