The collision involved two cars and was reported at around 6pm on Tuesday, April 9. Emergency services including Nottinghamshire Police attended the scene.
Traffic is coping well around the site of the crash, according to traffic monitoring site Inrix. It states: "The road remains closed following an accident first reported at around 18:30. Affecting traffic between Newark and Saxondale."A46 may not reopen until after 10pm "If this closure impacts on your planned route, please allow extra journey time," it stated. "Plan ahead, you may wish to re-route or even delay your journey."Nottinghamshire Police have confirmed they are at the scene of the collision which involved two cars on the A46 southbound.
