MANILA, Philippines: President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday said there would be no more extension to the deadline for franchise consolidation of public utility vehicles .During the open forum of the Bagong Pilipinas Town Hall Meeting on Traffic Concerns in San Juan City, Marcos said that the April 30 extension on PUV consolidation would be the last.'In the end, there will be no extension for the consolidation. We really need that,' the President said.

We are ensuring that it will not be a burden to the driver-operator, that's why we established a very good and organized system,' he added.In January, Marcos extended the consolidation deadline for PUVs after clamors from unconsolidated PUV operators.The three-month extension aims to grant an opportunity to those who expressed the intention to consolidate but did not make the previous deadline.
