Alfa Romeo reveals the Milano subcompact electric crossover, its first EV model that shares a platform with the Jeep Avenger available in Europe. The Milano is powered by a 54-kWh battery driving the front wheels, giving the base model a range of 250 miles in the more forgiving WLTP cycle.A sportier Veloce version will serve up 237 hp while retaining a single-motor FWD layout.
Alfa Romeo changed quite a few things for the Veloce, lowering the ride height by almost an inch while widening its footprint. The automaker also tweaked the antiroll bars in this variant, while adding a Torsen differential and beefier brakes with four-piston calipers. The Veloce will also wear the striking 20-inch four-spoke wheels. On the inside, the Milano appears different enough from the Jeep Avenger to not give any clue to the fact that they're related.
