The future of the Trans Am Totem sculpture is no longer in doubt thanks to a $250,000 donation by Chip and Shannon Wilson.

But Barrie Mowatt, founder and president of the biennale, said the personal donation by the Wilsons means Trans Am Totem is now a permanent part of the city’s public art collection. Chip Wilson is the founder of Lululemon Athletica, and is also a major Vancouver property owner through Low Tide Properties, a private real estate investment company.
