I wish to take this opportunity to say that progress was made for the prevention of incidents/accidents involving Commercial Motor Vehicles .
During the blitz, 87 CMVs were inspected for various deficiencies, such as poor maintenance, improper documents, daily safety checks and driver sobriety. With that, 42 charges were laid as a result. Being a safety professional, whenever a hazard arises, the plan of action is to find the root cause and to eliminate the hazard.
