The field heads to the 1-mile concrete Dover Motor Speedway this week for the Wurth 400.

NATHANIEL FRAZIER For the Eagle The Wallace College Govs have the best pitching staff in the state. That’s not bragging, it's a fact. Since the numbers don’t lie, consider these numbers.

These three are also one, three, and four in the state in wins. Jordan has 11, Middleton has eight, and Brock has seven. Just why is this pitching staff so successful? Just ask the man in charge of this group, pitching coach CJ Upshaw. Here’s another number that doesn’t like. The Govs have had six different pitchers win ACCC Pitcher of the Week this season. They are Dewy Brock, Jackson Chancey. Ellis Yohn, Reigh Jordan Jake Middleton and Colton Dorsey. In the 12-week conference schedule, a Wallace Gov won the pitching award 10 of those weeks.
