The vehicle has a top speed of 321kph and is designed to be sustainable both on and off of the track.
The GEN3 Evo was unveiled this week and will hit the track in Season 11 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The car is said to have the fastest acceleration in all of the FIA’s single-seater race cars. According to a press release, these GEN3 Evo vehicles are capable of accelerating from 0 – 100kph in 1.86 seconds,
Other highlights of the vehicle include a top speed of 321kph, the ability to generate 50 percent of the energy required during a race while braking and an electric motor with 90 percent efficiency. The GEN3 Evo is all-wheel drive, a first for the sport which will maximise acceleration and control. Speaking of batteries, Formula E is currently developing a battery that is designed to allow a 30 second, 600kW high-speed charge for additional energy mid-race.
