Number coding is something we’ve all learned to live with. It’s a nonsensical rule implemented in lieu of proper road planning and responsible traffic enforcement. But it’s what we have, and it looks like it’s here to stay.
Still, many are still unfamiliar with how EVs and hybrids ride and drive. Compared to diesel- and petrol-powered vehicles that have been with us for decades, cars with electric motors have only been here for about a dozen years. So it’s best to try before you buy. The annual event brings together in one venue the country’s biggest brands to showcase and provide test drives of their local lineup of vehicles. This year 17 automotive brands, many of them offering hybrid vehicles as well as full electrics, are participating in the festival which takes place on May 9 to 12, 2024.
