Seattle Police Department officers at the scene of a collision involving five juveniles who allegedly stole multiple cars and led police on a pursuit on the evening of May 7, 2024. Officials told KOMO News their SWAT team and King County Sheriff's Office's Guardian One helicopter assisted Seattle police in locating the juveniles during the pursuit.
Seattle fire was sent to the scene of the collision to treat any potential injuries, but at this time, there is no available information regarding the juvenile's or civilian's status. Four of the juveniles were taken into custody at the scene of the collision, according to police. Officers searched for the remaining fifth suspect on foot, and he was found not far from the crash scene, police said.
The five juveniles, police said, are associated with a multitude of violent crimes throughout Seattle that detectives have been investigating for the past few months. Those crimes include robberies and vehicular assaults, police said.
