MONCTON, N.B. — Police in New Brunswick have handed out more than 100 tickets during a traffic enforcement operation in early May.
On Friday, May 3, N.B. RCMP's Tactical Traffic Enforcement Unit and members of the Codiac Regional RCMP issued 118 tickets and 23 warnings in the Greater Moncton area under the Motor Vehicle Act.Police have also towed three cars and charged two people with driving with a suspended licence. "Of the 118 traffic violations, a total of 54 were issued for speeding," said Sgt. Ghislain David with the Tactical Traffic Enforcement Unit.
"Other common infractions included using a cell phone while driving, not wearing a seat belt, not having a current inspection certificate and having an expired registration."It has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
