Police said this started with a stolen car speeding first off Richmond before ending up on Westheimer Road in the Westchase District.

Police all five of the boys involved were ages 12 to 13, including one who died at the hospital after being found unresponsive in the backseat.. They later found out five older boys ages 12 to 13 years old were in the car and one was killed.

Police responded to the crash scene around 10 p.m. Two officers were on their way to another call when HPD said they noticed a car speeding crashed into another vehicle on Richmond Avenue just west of South Kirkwood Road. A chase followed from there and police said the stolen car then crashed into another car this time on South Kirkwood Road.

That didn’t stop the kids in the stolen vehicle. HPD said the driver then crashed into three more vehicles on“All of the suspects are between the ages of 12 and 13 years old. There were five vehicles were hit in total by the suspect vehicle,” HPD Assist. Chief J.L. Anderson said. “None of these citizens were transported.”

Anderson said two of the boys were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, another two were arrested at the scene and the fifth boy, who was found unresponsive in the back seat, later died.
