Pedestrian found on California street shot and killed after reportedly being struck by 2 vehicles

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report Thursday that a pedestrian had been hit by two vehicles near Mariposa Road and Locust Avenue in Victorville. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the man. A “lethal force encounter” happened, and the pedestrian was killed at the scene, authorities said. Details regarding why the pedestrian was shot and circumstances surrounding his being struck by two vehicles were not immediately available.
