Rochester, N. Y. (WHAM)—There have been multiple reckless driving incidents in the city involving stolen vehicles over the past 24 hours, and police say five

A police chase ended Thursday, May 9, 2024, in the area of West High Terrace and Woodbine Avenue in Rochester. Three teens, ages 13 to 16, were taken into custoyd.

Increased security measures are now in place at Franklin High School following a scare Thursday afternoon, when vehicles drove recklessly on the school's front yard. Officers said multiple Kias and Hyundais were seen driving recklessly across Franklin High School's front yard after dismissal Thursday, coming close to striking several students.

Later in the night, around 7:15 p.m., officers responded to Bronson Court in Rochester for the report of an armed robbery involving two stolen Kias."One ended with a crash, another ended with juveniles fleeing the vehicle," Bello said. "In total, we took four people in custody for that, ranging from ages 13 to 16, and they have been charged accordingly for their roles and we recovered two Kias. We are looking into if these were the same vehicles that were involved in Franklin.
