This is the moment a suspect is tackled to the floor by a police officer after he broke free from the back of an ambulance and made a dash for freedom.
The video footage - posted up to X, formerly Twitter, by GMP's traffic unit, shows the ambulance in the distance and it's rear doors suddenly opening.The man, who was held after reports of a collision, runs off down the pavement in front of two passers-by near to a convenience store. He then returns into view - followed by a chasing traffic officer - and attempts to cross the road.
In a statement, GMP said: "At around 2.10pm on Thursday, officers received a report of a road traffic collision involving a motorbike on Whitworth Road, Rochdale.
