People who lost access to vehicles parked in the Westside Plaza area during this weekend's fatal police shooting investigation can now go and pick them up.Police tape went up around the parking lot Saturday night following a police-involved shooting.
“Officers encountered a 37-year-old man in the vicinity of the store and offered to transport him to another location,” says a news release issued Sunday by the SIU.“When the officers searched the man, they located a handgun," the SIU says. "An interaction ensued, and one officer discharged his firearm. The man was struck.”
