The San Antonio Public Safety Committee moved forward on Tuesday to accept a grant from the Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority for more than $1.4 million

The San Antonio Police Department is aiming to stop vehicle break-ins with a $1.4 million dollar grant.

It’s not the first time S.A.P.D. has been awarded the grant and the department told us last year, that the task force made the money go a long way. “It’s not necessarily any one spot but wherever there’s going to be a large number of vehicles like hotel parking lots, shopping centers, where they are going to be unattended for a large period of time,” said Sergeant Moscoso.
