E-hailing drivers have to sit for the Public Service Vehicle licence and to send their cars for Puspakom inspection before July.
KUALA LUMPUR: Only 35 of the estimated 200,000 e-hailing vehicles in the country have undergone Puspakom inspection as of April 10. From July, the government will enforce tighter rules for e-hailing services, including requiring their drivers to sit for the Public Service Vehicle licence and to send their cars for inspection.
Puspakom Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Mohammed Shukor Ismail urged drivers not to wait until the last minute before sending their vehicles for checking. “This is to avoid any problems such as not getting approval on time,” Bernama quoted him as saying at a press conference today.He said e-hailing drivers do not need to wait for their PSV licence before sending their cars for inspection.
Why? What's the purpose?
anthonyloke should know that HE and HE ALONE create MORE problems for Taxis and Ehailing drivers just so he can extract tens of millions from the PSV to fill the gov treasury, which did nthing to resolve anythin but allowing the gov to MAKE MONEY out of this issue, MOTMalaysia
I think is better the government just end the e hailing service and make better taxi service. But government just talk n talk but nothing happens .
Goodbye Grab. The end for e-hailing services in Malaysia. Many drivers are opting out. Most didn’t sign up to be taxi drivers. Transport Minister too blind & too weak.

does the inspection of cars prevent accidents? of course not. the problem is the attitude of the drivers. brand new cars in tiptop conditions were also involved in accidents all the time. so how the hell can they justify that?
the people finally has a taxi ride that doesn't swindle them but the govt seemed bent on making sure that they can't have it. many e-hailing drivers are quitting the job cos of these rules which will raise the fares when there aren't enough of them to cater to demand.
