Three people have been arrested and a substantial amount of Mandrax tablets confiscated after police pulled over two vehicles in two separate incidents near Herold and Ladismith in the Western Cape.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies, police and traffic officers pulled over a Toyota Yaris after which they found a parcel concealed under the passenger seat. Mandrax tablets were found stashed inside the parcel. The vigilant members opened the parcel and found Mandrax tablets stashed inside.
Meanwhile, a 34-year-old man appeared in the Ladismith Magistrate's Court on Thursday following his arrest on a charge of dealing in drugs.
