ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary arrested a 23-year-old man for impaired driving twice in as many hours in St. John's on Monday, May 27.

Just before 1:45 a.m., patrol officers were called to the Kelsey Drive area for reports of a suspected impaired driver, who was found in a parking lot in the centre city.He was arrested for impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. He was also handed a summary offence ticket for having open alcohol in the car and his vehicle was impounded.

Two and a half hours later, officers responded to a disturbance at a home in the west end of St. John's. Police say it was the same man and he had gotten in another vehicle. He was again arrested for impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol level over 80 mg.
