A mean and messy storm hit Thursday night, Iasting less than an hour in some places. But, it was something the metro area hasn't seen in years.

DENVER — Thursday night’s hailstorm brought serious damage to cars near Denver International Airport.

“Hail damage all over the hood and the roof,” said Rudy Perez. “It’s pretty bad. I am just surprised. It must have been pretty big sized pieces of hail.” “It says ‘car got blasted by hail last night and windshield is cracked, up to you if you want to take it or not,’” Perez said. “I was on the train, and I was looking around like, did it snow? It feels pretty warm,” Miguel Sanchez said.“I have lived in Denver for a couple years and I always dodge them,” Sanchez said. “Now I live in Aspen, and that’s unfortunate.”
