Rob Burrow has died aged 41 after battling motor neurone disease, an illness he helped raise awareness for.

Leeds Rhinos legend Rob Burrow has passed away aged 41 after a brave battle with motor neurone disease, it has been confirmed.

Burrow, who had a decorated 17-year career in rugby league, was diagnosed in 2019 - two years after he retired from the game.AdvertLeeds announced his passing on Sunday evening, hailing him "a true inspiration throughout his life whether that was on the rugby league field or during his battle with MND".
