Detroit-style pizzeria Motor City, in Lewisville, is making a pizza inspired by Slovenian basketball player Luka Doncic. "This is a very carb-friendly pizza," Motor City Greg Tierney jokes about The Luka, named for the Dallas Mavericks star. The Luka is topped with potatoes, ground beef and a cream sauce. It will be sold throughout the Dallas Mavericks' NBA Finals run.
He went on to say that all of the women in his family, even his great-grandmother, make potato moussaka back home.— and boost sales — as they approached the World Series in 2023. He also made Dallas Cowboys themed pizzas like The Dak, a pie with crawfish, blackened chicken and Cajun cream sauce, in honor of Louisiana-born quarterback Dak Prescott.and layered potatoes on top of his Detroit-style pizza crust.
