JLR is aware of a small number of fires caused by the fault and is looking to promptly fix affected vehicles

Land Rover and Jaguar models are being recalled in the US due to faulty oil filter housing. Nearly 2,100 vehicles are impacted, including the Defender, Discovery, Range Rover and Jaguar F-Pace. Owners will be notified and receive a free replacement of the oil filter housing, filter, and associated o-rings. Numerous Land Rover models and the Jaguar F-Pace have a faulty engine oil filter housing that could leak oil into the engine and trigger a fire.
