Cars and jewellery seized in insurance claims inquiry

A substantial amount of documentation and financial records were also recovered during the operation which was part of an investigation into over twenty insurance claims.It is understood a number of the targets of today’s operation have made multiple claims, some while using false identities.Gardaí say in some of the cases payments have already been made to the claimants.

Assistant Commissioner John O'Driscoll, Special Crime Operations said the gardaí were determined to identify those who are involved in making of bogus insurance claims.
