Fuel Quality Testing,Gas Station,Bad Gas

At least six people complained to Hamilton County's auditor about pumping bad gas at a Sunoco gas station in Anderson Township.

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio - If you pump bad gas in Ohio, there's no testing program to prove it, but a recently proposed bill could change that.

In April, Corbin's car stopped running right after he filled up his gas tank. His mechanic said he found water in the fuel tank. Corbin reported it to the Hamilton County Auditor's Office, but Ohio is one of only three states without a fuel quality testing program. "There are a lot of people out there getting contaminants in their fuel, and it's damaging their vehicles, and right now, they have no recourse," Woods said."There was no way to prove that that gas station was the one that sold me the water," said Corbin.

Earlier in June, he introduced Ohio House Bill 549, which would allow Ohio counties to implement a fuel quality testing program, an issue that has been brought up at the statehouse for decades.
